The Best Bedtime Drink, Period.
Having recently read through Tim Ferriss’ most recent book, Tools of Titans I highlighted a large number of recommendations from Tim and the Titans he’s interviewed on his podcast – this bedtime drink is without a doubt the best (and most simple!) discovery I made.
I don’t have sleep insomnia, nor do I spend a large amount of times around screens before going to bed (which disrupts sleep) so I didn’t have much in the way of expectations before trying this apple cider vinegar honey drink… so my results came as a surprise.
“SJ’, who’s this drink for?”
- If you’ve got sleep insomnia or any related bedtime issues you should be drinking this every night.
- If you simply want better sleep like myself, you should be drinking this every night.
Here’s What I’ve Noticed
I fall asleep, almost immediately
15~ minutes after drinking this ‘tranquillizer’ I’m consistently drifting off to sleep.
This is particularly noticable on the evenings I’ve hit a cardio or boxing workout – regardless of how physically exhausted I may be from training in the evening I find myself too worked up to get to sleep… this bedtime drink remedies that.
I sleep deeper
Since I’ve been making this bedtime drink when my head hits the pillow it’s literally lights out.
I haven’t woken up at all in the early hours of the morning as I was before, I don’t remember any dreams, nothing.
between the hours of 10pm and 4am I’m dead to the world.
I wake up energized
I can’t explain why this is the case, but upon waking the morning after having my apple cider vinegar honey bedtime drink I feel as if I’ve already downed a double shot of espresso.
The duration of sleep I’m getting remains the same, however the increased quality of sleep is likely making this noticeable increase in waking energy levels.
Potential strength gains?
Once again, I suspect this is due to the increase in energy as a result of deeper sleep, without increasing my caloric intake whatsoever my flat barbell bench press and barbell back squat figures are on the rise once again!
Don’t Make This Mistake…
Don’t take your bedtime drink too early!
I’ve consumed this beverage an hour before my normal bedtime and found myself drifting off 15 minutes later…
Make sure you’ve got everything sorted for the following day and you’re ready for bed before you down your bedtime drink.
