Quiet Punch Review: The Best Punching Bag For A Small Apartment

Quiet Punch Review
When I set out on a new endeavour, be it fitness or business related I become obsessed, I'm more than willing to invest both time and money to get an edge of my competition and to sharpen my skills through constant repetition.

In the last quarter of 2016 the itch to get back into a combat sport was too strong, having come from a karate background I decided it was time to get back into it.

Instead of karate however I decided upon joining a boxing gym and focusing on my striking and footwork.
Training 4 times a week on the pads and in the ring was great, but I wanted to be able to add some boxing and footwork drills to my early morning routine (before the gym is open).

"SJ, why don't you just buy a boxing bag?"

Unfortunately it's not that simple.

A high rise condo with concrete ceilings and neighbours that don't appreciate being awoken at 5am by the sound of heavy bag isn't exactly the best place to be able to entertain a traditional heavy bag.

After brainstorming my own ideas and a bit of research online I discovered the Quiet Punch.

Quiet Punch is a doorway premium punching bag designed to leave no marks, mark no sound and offer a solid workout (both technically and cardio wise).

Specifications

  • Hand stitched punching bag
  • 60 second setup time
  • 4lbs total weight
  • Fits any doorway between 28" to 36" in width

I contacted Brian, founder of Quiet Punch to ask a couple of questions via email and after receiving extremely swift replies I ordered one of these bad boys (shipping from the US to Australia was a bit complicated at the time but we got it sorted).

The Quiet Punch comes with a variety of workouts, but in my case the Quiet Punch was simply to hone in on my timing, jab, cross speed and form, in and out movement and shoulder endurance.

Quiet Punch Fills A Gap In The Market

Minimal Space? No Problem.

When setup the Quiet Punch occupies a doorframe between 28" and 36" in width, there's no need to have any big bulky bag sitting or hanging in the corner of your room.
The Quiet Punch can easily be packed away and stored in a draw when not in use.

Noise Conscious? No Problem.

The soft memory foam on the hand stitched pad combined with the tension on the pad when setup in your door frame eliminates virtually all sound.
High repetition flurries of punches and power strikes (yes you can hit this thing HARD) aren't particularly audible (if you've got neighbours on the other side of a condo wall this is not a problem).

Tight Budget? No Problem.

$99 including shipping for an innovative product that's had a lot of thought in the design as well as quality and care in the manufacturing process is a good deal in my eyes. Remember, when looking at the cost of a product you should view the value it's going to provide you.

If you're never going to use the Quiet Punch then $99 is a bad buy for you.
If, like me you integrate the Quiet Punch into your morning routine to hone in on your skills or as part of a home interval training workout to burn fat and increase your cardiovascular fitness you're getting an absolute  bargain.

Travel Often? No Problem.

As mentioned earlier the Quiet Punch only weighs 4lbs and takes literally 6o seconds to setup.
Move it between your office and home, take it on road trip with you, put it in your suitcase... it's versatile!

My Experience With The Quiet Punch

I typically review books and supplements which I can gauge the value and effectiveness of quite quickly... when it came to the Quiet Punch I was hesitant to put out my thoughts or mention it at all for a period of time.

I didn't want to recommend something that couldn't stand a combination of the test of time + my abuse.

What's Your Take On Home Boxing Bags & The Quiet Punch?

Scott J.https://ignorelimits.com
I’m SJ. I’m a fitness enthusiast and published author. I transformed my body from a skinny fat 135lbs with 18% body fat to a solid 192lbs at 8% body fat. I became qualified in a field I was passionate about. I founded several online businesses that allow me to pursue ideas and projects in my life that I am passionate about without having to constantly worry about money. I published several eBooks explaining the training and dieting techniques I used to achieve the body I have today. I learnt a plethora of new information on dieting and fitness by reading and applying what I read, to find out what does work and what doesn’t work, because as I’m sure you’ve noticed the health and fitness industry is full of non-sense claims and BS. I found out what was true and what worked for me and applied that knowledge. And you bet I had fun during the whole process.
