One of the biggest mistakes I see guys make is they go to the gym and build a physique, yet they disregard everything else in the process and let their hygiene go out the window.

In this article you'll learn a handful of simple ways you can improve your facial aesthetics whether you want to do this to gain confidence, attract higher quality women or look the part for a particular job, that's up to you.

Anyone Can Improve Their Facial Aesthetics (Focus On What You Can Control)

Literally anyone can improve their facial aesthetics.

It comes down to focusing on what we can control.

You can't change your bone structure, you can't change the shape of your head.

But there are many small details we can hone in on that add up to make a substantial difference.

This is very much like bodybuilding - your muscle insertions are set in stone and we've got to do the best we have with the cards we've been dealt.

8 Actionable Tips To Improve Your Facial Aesthetics

I follow these tips myself as all are inexpensive with tangible benefits.

1. Whiten Your Teeth With Whitening Strips

I would argue that teeth whitening is the easiest, most cost effective way to improve your facial aesthetics.
Using whitening strips once or twice per day for a week will leave you with pearly whites.
Not only does this show you look after yourself (yellow teeth = bad hygiene) but it'll also improve your smile tenfold.

Funnily enough you'll notice when am amateur becomes professional, whether this be a singer, actor, sporting legend etc. one of the first things you'll notice is they'll get their teeth professionally whitened/straightened.

Professional whitening is quicker and results can be slightly better, however at a fraction of the cost a DIY kit gives great results.

Here are the ones I use.

2. Use Black Nubian Soap On Your Face Daily

After trying this soap you will NEVER go back to using regular white soap.

Regular soap should not be used on your face, it'll dry it out. Black Nubian on the other hand can be used from head to toe.

3. Keep Your Eyebrows Under Control (Plucking, Waxing Or Threading)

A lot of guys may dismiss or disagree with this one, but it does make a big difference.

Plucking your eyebrows (in the centre) to ensure you're not maintaining a monobrow as well as a slight touch up above and below the eyebrow once every 2 - 3 weeks makes for a neater looking face with sharper expression.

There's no right or wrong way to do this - you can pluck your eyebrows yourself or get them waxed/threaded.

The only time this will look more feminine than masculine is if you thin out your eyebrows too much (which I do not recommend).

4. Make An Ancient Aztec Healing Clay Facial Once Per Week


Aztec Ancient Indian Healing Clay

This facial clay contains benonite. Using a benonite mask regularly will eliminate essentially all black heads, white heads and other impurities or dirt within your skin, Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay offers a deep cleanse.

Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar

I recommend Bragg’s apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar assists in eliminating acne, dry skin and balances the pH levels of your skin.

Mixing Dish & Spoon

You will require a 1 tablespoon measurement and a small bowl. Ensure the mixing dish and bowl are not metal, instead opt for plastic or ceramic.


Using your 1 tablespoon measurement place 1 tablespoon of your Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay into your mixing bowl.

Proceed to add 1 tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar to your mixing bowl.

Spend several minutes mixing the healing clay and the apple cider vinegar together until a thick paste is formed (if yours is too runny add a bit more clay, if it’s too thick add a bit more apple cider vinegar).

Apply the mixture to your face using a vertical motion; the layer of the mask should be around about half an inch thick on your face.

Leave mask on for 10 – 20 minutes depending on the sensitivity of your skin – the mask will begin to tighten as it sets and your face will pulsate.

Wash mask off with hot water.

Repeat once per week.

5. Use Coconut Oil After You Shower

Moisturize with extra virgin organic coconut oil after washing yourself with the above Black Nubian soap each evening. You’ll want to do this immediately before going to bed as you face will be quite shiny. This oil fights away bacteria etc. in order to keep blackheads and other imperfections away.

Forget regular moisturizer, coconut oil is far superior.

6. Supplement With Dandelion Root Extract

Dandelion is a natural diuretic that’s often used to decrease water retention; I first discovered dandelion root extract capsules upon recommendation by a fellow gym-goer as a way to drop that last bit of water weight and bloating before a photoshoot. After seeing fantastic results taking 3 capsules per day I decided to start taking it year round – my physique now remains relatively ‘dry’ year round as a result.

Not only will dandelion root make your physique look better, but the diuretic properties of this supplement will assist in reducing excess water weight in your face. An increase in jawline and cheekbone definition are a result of this.

There’s other (expensive) and dangerous diuretics out there that I haven’t and won’t touch because dandelion root works perfectly.

7. Reduce Water Retention Via Diet (Lower Carbohydrate & Sodium Intake)

Carbohydrates and sodium both increase water retention.

Water binds to carbohydrate molecules.

If you're eating hundreds upon hundreds of grams of carbohydrates per day you'l probably notice your face is holding quite a bit more wait than normal. In this case, decreasing your carbohydrate intake while simultaneously reducing your sodium intake (junk foods and processed meats are high in sodium) will see you shedding that excess water weight, leaving you with a leaner, more defined face.

Couple this with the dandelion root extract supplement discussed above for even greater results.

8. Get A Light Tan

Get outside and get some Vitamin D.

Not only is a bit of sun fantastic for your health and performance (insufficent vitamin D levels have been linked to depression and if you're insufficient you may notice an increase in strength etc. in the gym too!)

Just like a tanned physique also looks better than its pale equivalent the same is true with faces. Get a bit of color and you'll notice a healthier glow and increased facial definition.
