How To Boost Your Testosterone Levels With Quick, Easy Habits
You Don’t Have To Spend A Cent To Boost Your Testosterone
If you’ve picked up a bodybuilding magazine, read posts on fitness forums or walked into your local supplement store the magic ingredient for stacking on slabs of lean muscle mass, burning fat and gaining confidence is said to be Testosterone, a natural hormone which – for the right price you’ll be able to buy a pill or powder to raise your Testosterone levels through the roof.
That’s bullshit.
Over the counter ‘Testosterone boosters’ won’t net you any desirable results or benefits… they will however leave you with acne and a lighter wallet!
There are a few quick habits however which only take a few minutes each day and have been scientifically studied and proven to boost your testosterone levels.
Habit #1 – Cold Showering
Have a cold shower for 5 – 10 minutes, daily.
Turn the faucet in the shower as far to the cold side as possible.
Allow the water to run down your head, across your shoulders and back for a minimum of five minutes while you focus on controlling your breathing.
Immediate Benefits:
Spending five minutes in a cold shower will make you feel alive like nothing else. After having a cold shower, you’ll feel energized and ready to crush whatever comes your way throughout the day.
Long-term Benefits:
The long-term benefits of cold water therapy include:
Better condition of skin and hair
Increased testosterone
An increase in mental toughness and conditioning (cold showers aren’t pleasant)
Your water bill will decrease (as you won’t want to spend as much time in there as you would in a steaming hot shower!)
My Experience with Cold Showering:
Cold showering has changed my life. I’m so passionate about it, I even wrote a whole book on the topic.
After my workout (6am) each morning, I start the day with a cold shower. This shower is typically five minutes in duration and leaves me feeling invigorated and energized for the rest of the day.
Cold showering has also allowed me to decrease my caffeine intake as the feeling I experience after a cold shower is identical to drinking an espresso.
Habit #2 – Perform Power Poses
Spend 5 minutes holding power pose positions, daily.
“What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say.”
An individual’s body language says a lot about them, you will perform alpha male power poses for two minutes several times per day (or whenever you suffer from feelings of powerlessness or low self-esteem).
Lean slightly back, throw your arms above your head and look upwards (similar to the pose a running does upon winning a race). Hold this pose for several seconds, and repeat for two minutes.
I recommend checking out this video demonstrating some additional power poses I suggest performing:

Benefits of Performing Power Poses:
An increase in testosterone.
Decrease in cortisol levels.
Brief extra surge of energy.
Calming of nerves and a feeling of wellbeing.
My Experience with Power Poses:
I highly recommend performing power poses. Power poses are part of my morning routine and are a great way to start off the day – I personally obtain a feeling of dominance from performing several repetitions of the above pose over the course of two minutes. As well as these individual power poses, I intentionally take up more room than previously when sitting (I used to sit extremely femininely, taking up the smallest amount of room I possibly could – this resulted in a feeling of low self-esteem).
