When You Can't Control What's Happening

Remember...
You can do the work.
You can put in the effort.
You can hit the send button.
After that it's often outside our realm of control.
The decision isn't always in your hands.
You can't control it.
All you can control is your reaction.
Like the ancient Stoics, you must find power within this fact.
The 2nd Arrow is Optional…
This is where the true damage is done.
Do not allow the 2nd arrow to hit – as soon as you feel the 1st arrow you must get up and get back to it, there’s people that’re far, far worse off than you are.
As Morrie says you must put a limit on your self-pity, you may spend a moment or two a day but you cannot go through life feeling self-pity.
