1 Quick Daily Habit For Mental Toughness (The Daily Stoic Review)

1 Quick Daily Habit For Mental Toughness (The Daily Stoic Review)

I'm a big believer in small habits, they're the most manageable way of getting ahead, day by day.
For the newcomer, be it fitness or developing the winners mindset they often bite off more than they can chew... they attempt to go from doing absouletely nothing on one day to reading an entire book on mental toughness or following a gruelling low calorie diet the next...

This is not sustainable my friend, you must start small.

It's the consistency that's key.

In order to build a body, in order to build a business, in order to build mental toughness which will assist you in the former you need to consistently take action.

Reading one page of a book each morning is better than reading 50 pages once a month.

Performing one short workout a day is better than dedicating one entire day to physical activity each week.

Your small consistent habit will form a snowball... the results begin to build up and build up as you go to bed each night.

If you want to build mental toughness and embrace the winners mindset you need to start your day with 'The Daily Stoic'.

Read 1 Page of The Daily Stoic And Continue On With Your Day...

You'll find a page for each day of the year within 'The Daily Stoic' this contains a modern day translation of some ancient stoic wisdom from the greats such as Seneca, Marcus Aurelius & Descartes...

"SJ, what's so good about this stoic wisdom?"

There’s thousands upon thousands of self-help books on Amazon and covering the shelves of your local bookstore…

The vast majority of these books are all very similar, re-hashing and rewording a few key concepts while being marketed as the ultimate guide to transforming your life. 99% of those books are a waste of your time and money.

The passages you'll find within 'The Daily Stoic' are from the original stoic self-development books such as Seneca's On The Shortness of Life & Marcus Aurelius' Meditations.

No Chinese whispers, no convoluted BS.

Just original, ancient lessons to achieve your goals and conquer adversity.

Each day contains a stoic quote and Ryan Holiday's explanation and interpretation of this - 5 minutes is all you'll need to put aside to start your day the stoic way.

The last few months I've been rising at 4am, preparing my strong black coffee, reading The Daily Stoic and hitting the gym. I feel unstoppable.

Embrace The Stoic Mindset...

This book is the perfect way to delve into the teachings of Stoicism, which I can honestly say have changed my life.
From managing anxiety to conquering goals and defining your purpose - you'll find those lessons through these stoic passages.

Here's a few takeaway lessons on stoicism:

Focus On What YOU Can Control

You cannot control the traffic, the weather of the mood your boss is in when he greets you tomorrow morning... so do not spend any time focusing on these things. Instead opt to focus on what you can control.

You can control your actions and your response to things outside of your control, that's it.

Understand That Tomorrow Is Not Guaranteed

Stop putting off your goals, dreams and ideas for the future - we're not guaranteed another 10 days on this earth let alone another 10 years.
Don't just magically expect you'll reach 90 years of age and that you've got a large surplus of time to pursue your interests... find urgency.

Material Possessions Are Pointless

Don't attach yourself to physical possessions, they don't matter.

Don't Beg For An Easy Life

You must subject yourself to uncomfortable, testing situations both physically and mentally to find peace and happiness.

I’m SJ. I’m a fitness enthusiast and published author. I transformed my body from a skinny fat 135lbs with 18% body fat to a solid 192lbs at 8% body fat. I became qualified in a field I was passionate about. I founded several online businesses that allow me to pursue ideas and projects in my life that I am passionate about without having to constantly worry about money. I published several eBooks explaining the training and dieting techniques I used to achieve the body I have today. I learnt a plethora of new information on dieting and fitness by reading and applying what I read, to find out what does work and what doesn’t work, because as I’m sure you’ve noticed the health and fitness industry is full of non-sense claims and BS. I found out what was true and what worked for me and applied that knowledge. And you bet I had fun during the whole process.
