My Ripped Freak Diuretic Review (How I Got Ripped To Shreds!)
Water weight (fluid retention) can make a huge difference in the way your physique presents, particularly as you start to delve into the single digit body fat range.
While preparing for latest photoshoot my supply of NOW Foods dandelion root extract was exhausted, at the last minute I ran down to my local supplement store (a very rare occurrence) and picked up a bottle of Pharmafreak's Ripped Freak diuretic. Before I picked this up I couldn't find a great deal of information on it, so here's my review!
The 3 main ingredients in the Ripped Freak diuretic include:
- Dandelion Root Extract (1.6g per 4 capsules)
- Juniper Extract (500mg per 4 capsules)
- Magnesium Oxide (80mg per 4 capsules)
Dandelion root extract is a tried and tested natural diuretic that is safe and effective as I discussed in F.U. Fat.
I have not seen any conclusive evidence as how effective juniper extract is at eradicating fluid retention from the body.
Magnesium on the other hand is a godsend in this supplement, as when dieting down and flushing out water weight I tend to get cramps quite often, the answer to these cramps - magnesium. oxide.
A bottle of the Ripped Freak diuretic contains 60 capsules.
1 dosage is 4 capsules, with 2 - 3 doses per day being recommended (NOTE: Pharmafreak does not recommend this diuretic be consumed more than 3 consecutive days in a row).
Prior to starting this supplement I had already implemented a couple of other techniques to reduce water retention as discussed in my video here.
Here are my before and after results after consuming the Ripped Freak diuretic for 3 days (4 capsules, 3 times per day).
Closing Thoughts On Ripped Freak
I can say that the Ripped Freak diuretic definitely did assist in losing that final bit of fluid my body was holding - this resulted in a slight increase in vascularity and my lower abdominals appeared to 'pop' out a bit more due to a reduction in bloating.
Would I recommend this supplement?
Yes, if you can't get your hands on some cheap dandelion root extract by itself or would like to get your dandelion root and magnesium (to prevent cramps) in one supplement then the Ripped Freak diuretic is for you. I'm not a fan of all the marketing and advertising hype these big supplement giants use, but yes - you will see results provided your body fat is relatively low and you dose the supplement as recommended over the course of 3 days.
