Deflect Your Way To Success

Be ready to deflect
Be ready to deflect

As the old saying goes 'you can do anything but you can't do everything'.

Multitasking is BS, it's a supposedly 'productivity' technique that results in half of your focus being placed on two different tasks or projects... resulting in at best a mediocre outcome for both.

Listening to a speech recently from Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba.com who also now happens to be China's richest man he said 'we receive thousands of opportunities and business ideas every single day, it's our ability to say no to these ideas that allows us to be so successful'. Jack Ma will only CONSIDER an idea if it will assist or streamline a process he's already got in place. He's not looking to buy into a different market and make a quick buck.

He knows what he wants and he will not allow any distractions intercept his path.

Without a doubt 'no' is the most powerful word in the English language.
A lengthy proposal, an idea that has so much riding on it can be disrupted with two letters - N...O...

The greater the success you attain the more you're going to have to learn to say no.

Who do you think would be more successful?

The man who started a business and said 'yes' to every request, other business idea and venture he was approached with for the next 5 years?

The man who started a business and deflected every proposal that came his way that didn't assist his primary business goal for the next 5 years?

The answer is obvious, keep your focus in one place, work relentlessly and time will bare the fruits of your labour.

This doesn't just apply to the business aspect of your life. Look at any man with a physique forged of granite - I can guarantee you he hasn't changed his workout routine or diet every time a new fad or style of training has been published and pushed by mens fitness magazines and the like. He's instead opted to deflect it and continue on his path using the tools of the trade that HE KNOWS will work. Not another BS method trying to be sold to him.

A lot of people find it very uncomfortable to say no and will often say 'yes!' even though they know it isn't in their best interest, just to keep the proverbial peace and not upset anyone's feelings.
Have your best interests in mind and focus on your plan. Learn to say no and deflect the opportunities and ideas that aren't part of your blueprint.

Focus on your plan, or you'll quickly become part of someone else's plan.

I became qualified in a field I was passionate about. I founded several online businesses that allow me to pursue ideas and projects in my life that I am passionate about without having to constantly worry about money. I published several eBooks explaining the training and dieting techniques I used to achieve the body I have today. I learnt a plethora of new information on dieting and fitness by reading and applying what I read, to find out what does work and what doesn’t work, because as I’m sure you’ve noticed the health and fitness industry is full of non-sense claims and BS. I found out what was true and what worked for me and applied that knowledge. And you bet I had fun during the whole process.
